Meet Pastor – Rev. Dr. Barrion Staples
Rev. Dr. Barrion Staples was born and raised in the Chicagoland area. His primary area during his developmental years was in Kankakee, Illinois. However, his greatest influences were shaped in Chicago, Illinois. At a very early age Rev. Staples was influenced by the many spiritual leaders in his life. These leaders included his father, Rev. A.Q. Staples, his uncle Elder Chester Mosley (Ware), Rev. Clay Evans, Rev. James Cleveland his cousins, The Staple Singers and many others.
Rev. Staples recalls the many tent revivals that his uncle, Elder Chester Mosley would have and watch miraculous healings. People from across the country attended these revivals, that would last a week.
At the age of eight, at his uncle Chester’s church; Rev. Staples accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. At that moment Rev. Staples was engaged in the church activities. Throughout Rev. Staples’ walk with Christ, he has attended various churches and always was involved with being part of a choir at the churches he attended. At the age of fourteen Rev. Staples became part of a youth lay ministry program. He went on to teach Sunday school and witness to others.
Rev. Staples has been an Assistant Pastor for several churches and is committed to leading others to Christ through preaching, teaching and discipleship.
Romans 10:14-15 – (14) How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? (15) And how shall they preach unless they are sent?
Romans 12:1-2 – (1) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. (2) And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Rev. Staples is committed to seeking those that are lost and needing spiritual nourishment through the inspired word of God. Rev. Staples has experienced life in the world but has always held on to the unchanging hand of Jesus Christ.
